What CBD product do I choose?
Every body metabolizes CBD differently, so the dose of CBD one person finds effective may be different from someone else. How do I get the right dose for my condition and body? Should I use an oil, or a powder, or a suppository? What's the difference between raw, decarboxylated, and pure gold oils?
Ultimately your goal is to take just enough CBD so that it is effective. If you take too little or too much you'll simply be wasting money. Fortunately, this is the only real concern as CBD has no known side effects, and any excess you consume your body will simply dispose of in a natural way.
CBD oil is considered a food supplement by the Federal government and is 100% legal. Marijuana and hemp are the same plant (Cannabis Sativa). Cannabis Sativa over .3% THC has been nicknamed marijuana, and Cannabis Sativa at or under .3% THC is called hemp. All of our CBD products are made from hemp making it legal to consume, and you won't have any psychoactive side effects.
The Hemp Health products come in a few varieties: Oils, sprays, suppositories, powders, and salves. Salves and suppositories are to be used per the instructions on the product description. The remaining product types offer some choice and flexibility when managing dose.
Sprays:
The Pharma CBD spray is a very effective way to calculate dose as each pump dispenses 1mg of CBD. The label recommends 2 pumps as a serving size offering an approximate total of 80 servings per container.
There are 3 flavors of CBD Sprays; Original, Peppermint, and Vanilla.
CBD Oils:
Summary recommendation (tl;dr): use a lesser amount of the greatest concentration of CBD oil. So, rather then using a whole tube of 15.9% oil in a day, use 1 or 2ml of the 25% oil, and adjust as needed. It is recommended that you use CBDs daily for a couple of weeks to start noticing curative effects. However, personally I find a few squirts of the low-dose CBD spray once or twice a day to be very effective and calming.
There are 3 varieties of oils available at different concentrations. Each of the differences are explained below, but the “Pure Gold” line of products is the most popular, and people are using these oils to treat the widest range of conditions.
In terms of dosing, there are 3 syringe sizes for each concentration of oil; 1mg, 5mg, and 10mg. To determine how many mg's of CBD are in “X” syringe, use this basic calculation - There are 1000 mg’s in each gram, so, for instance if you have a 1 gram syringe that is 15.9% CBD then you will have 159mg of CBD in that 1 gram syringe; if the syringe is 25% CBD by volume then it would have 250mg of CBD in the syringe.
One example - the recommended dosage for the 15.9% oil is 0.5ml, 2x a day (as marked on the syringe). This will give you ~159mg of CBD a day, or one whole syringe per day. Many people would find that to be too much for one day, and probably only used for people with extreme needs or conditions. You're probably much better off starting small, and only use .1ml per serving, and then increase your dose amount until you feel you have found the right amount for you.
For some people who may only be using CBDs to treat a mild condition, they would use a spray and use 2-10mg's a day. Others may find it necessary for a higher concentrated dose. The highest being 25% Pure Gold oil. One syringe would contain 250mg of CBD.
Raw Oil (15.9%)
Raw CBD oil is not processed any further than its original extraction and will contain other compounds in it such as small plant material (microscopic small), lipids (fats), and chlorophyll. The color of this oil will usually be dark green to black and have a thick consistency. Raw will usually be the product of choice for people looking to benefit from the use of the entire hemp plant and not necessarily just cannabidiol. We commonly see people buying this oil who suffer from anxiety issues, insomnia and other mild to moderate issues.
Decarboxylated Oil (15.9%, 17%)
Basically decarboxylation will turn CBDa into CBD which is a non-acid molecule that will better fit your CBD receptors and be more "active" within your body. This oil is commonly bought by people who are making their own CBD edibles and have moderate anxiety problems as well as insomnia, arthritis and migraines. Decarboxylated is similar to "raw" except it has been "decarboxylated". The process of decarboxylation is a way to increase the strength or effectiveness of the CBD in the CBD oil and offers a faster reaction time for the CBD oil once its in your body.
Pure Gold Oil (15.9%, 17%, 25%)
This CBD oil the most purchased CBD oil on the website and people are buying this CBD oil for everything from mild anxiety to chronic pain. Gold CBD oil represents the highest concentration CBD product. The filtered or “gold” varieties will typically be decarboxylated as well as being filtered to remove the smaller plant constituents such as chlorophyll, lipids and other non CBD plant parts.
